ATH Full Manual Valve Body Features

• Each unit is thoroughly cleaned using an ultrasonic process, with casting surfaces precision-sanded for flatness and proper sealing
• Internal bores are vacuum-tested and restored as needed to address wear and maintain performance
• All threaded areas are inspected and repaired when necessary to ensure reliability
• Equipped with custom laser-cut separator plates for improved durability and consistency
• New Overdrive and TCC solenoids are tested prior to assembly
• Our design deletes the governor pressure solenoids and transducers, resulting in more consistent shifting under high-pressure conditions
• Includes a 2nd gear torque converter lockup feature (engages immediately upon manual shift into second gear when the lockup switch is activated)
• A 1st gear lockup feature is available upon request. E-mail us prior to order to discuss this option.**
• 4-3 downshift modification allows engine breaking with or without lockup
  
• Factory-set line pressure is calibrated to approximately 180 PSI, increasing to 200+ PSI in 4th gear with TCC lockup; no external adjustment are required
  
• These valvebodies are a forward shift pattern. 
  

Core Policy

• We do not charge a core fee or require a core as a return.
• If you would like to potentially sell us your 47 or 48 valve body cores, email in general pictures of the unit and make sure to include one with the non-solenoid side up and facing the camera (focus on the shift linkage).
• We typically don't purchase units previously modified outside of industry standard specifications.
  

Additional Notes

• Manual valve bodies are not supplied with 48RE rooster combs; customers installing in a 48RE must reuse their existing component
